This is a question that most people are not as willing to ask as they might be. Often people will hear a number of statistics about how much they can make with Google AdSense and then their mind shut down. That is until what they think they might make is not what they make in fact.

There are a few simple points that people who are working with Google AdSense and the AdSense program spend a lot of time trying to understand. That is how to improve their business and make more money.

Some of the ways that you can do this is by linking, or by site promotion, but it also comes down to SEO and keywords. Linking: There are many ways that links are viewed. There are two terms that most people will use and say that these are of value or not these are Dofollow and Nofollow. What these terms are a way for the search engines to figure out how much value to place on a particular link. So let us say that you write on blog and it has “dofollow” links, what they are telling the search engine is that you can “go through” this link and add more value to it. A Nofollow is the opposite, while it works like any other link, the search engine do not place “value” on these links. The idea is to have a balance between the two of them, some “dofollow” links, and some “nofollow” links.

The more important thing is to link, you will need to begin somewhere and Stumble Upon or Digg are a start but they are nofollow, so they might not provide as much value. If you were to add a link from hubpages or squidoo (read the terms of service for exact information) they have "dofollow" links which are worth more in the end.

The more links you have from different places the more chances of being "seen" and this way you make money with Google AdSense.

Site Promotion: This is where you promote your site, say with an email signature or with some of your writing. This is more indirect, but can also include linking and using keywords.

SEO and Keywords

SEO: This is what everyone tends to talk about when dealing with making money, especially when you are making money with Google AdSense. You need to get some search engine traffic and you need to be able to maintain that traffic to make money. The more “useful” your content is the more you will get search engine traffic.

Some things to remember with Google AdSense are that they look for site, which are meant for readers and not for traffic. The more you focus on your website or blog and make it more for your readers, both new and regular the more money you can make with Google AdSense.

Keywords: This is the basis for SEO. While linking is vital for traffic, your keywords are vital for people who want to find your work. Keywords are in essence the search terms on search engines. If you spend enough time working on your websites and improving your choice of keywords, there is more of a chance that you will make money with Google AdSense.

The Google AdSense program works on the basis of keywords and a keyword can be very general such as “Google” or “money” but it can also be more specific such as “make money with Google AdSense” the more specific you can get the more chance you will get the targeted traffic you want from the search engines.

You will need to put all four things together to make money with Google AdSense. The more you work at improving all four parts, without looking as if you are a spammer, then there is more of a likelihood that over time your revenue with Google AdSense will increase.
