You can make money at home by writing online at your own phase. Start writing online by submitting articles at Wikinut and earn 10% for each person you referred who post articles too. Whether you are a freelance writer, novice writer, a housewife or a student, it doesn't matter at all. Try these useful tips to earn money at Wikinut

My 3 year experience at Wikinut

To be honest, I had been with Wikinut since November 2012, which means this November, I will be 3 years old writer.

Being an old timer, I am not a professional writer nor a constant writer here. Writing at Wikinut was a blissful trip. I don't expect to earn as much money as I had earned at Hubpages or Bubblews but it was a great experience to interact with different people all over the world.

I appreciate the moderators guidance and approval for my "unreviewed" articles. Only one articles was "rejected" which I don't know the reason either.

However, I had noticed that many writers are earning money at Wikinut with different methods. Each writer has their own personal ways to increase traffic which means earning money at Wikinut at different phase.

I may not be a professional in this line but I think these tips that I had been practicing at Wikinut, might be able to help other novice writers to get into the right track of earning money here or other writing online websites.

1. Publish More Articles

Write Articles:

  • Get your fingers onto the keyboard and start typing whatever that comes into your mind.

  • It is wise to type into Wordpad or MS Word, just to keep your data safe.

  • At Wikinut, you can write anything under the sun, any category you can choose from the list as long they are not offensive materials.
  • That is one of the reason why I wanted to join Wikinut, write ANYTHING I want to!

  • A short introduction about yourself would suffice to bring on at least 20-50 views on the 1st day. A great start for a newbie.

  • In addition, I noticed that recipe articles have high views especially those unique cuisines and popular recipes which majority viewers like to read. By adding photos and step-by-step instructions, you could receive at least 50-200 views in a single day!

  • If you are expertised in health related fields ( your occupation ), do write those common searched illness, ailments, diseases that people search online. Your articles will receive high traffic and views if your article contents are proven to provide useful tips and treatments.

  • 2. Follow the author

Follow me and I will follow you...

    • Don’t "follow" every articles that you have not read-that would be spamming.

    • Read those articles under the categories that you are interested in. There are a wide range of topics for you to select.

    • If the author works are in your favorite lists, "follow the author" or you can subscribe to the author.

    • You will be notified of the author's latest posted articles in your "Read your messages" box.

    • You will find the popular and hottest articles are written by experienced Wikinut writers with fantastic and awesome master piece that would keep you reading for ages.

    • Who knows, the author might read your articles in return and "follow" you too.

    • It is a give and take concept that works as the proverb says; “ It takes 2 hands to clap”.

    3. Leave Useful Comments

    Say something short and sweet

    • After you had read the articles, remember to leave some comments to let the author know how you felt about his article that you had read.

    • It would be nice to leave some encouraging and nice comments rather than sarcastic remarks.

    • Try not to throw a wet blanket over the author’s head. Don't leave discouraging comments or insults. Nobody likes to have a black sheep among the readers.

    • You should know that there are many viewers reading your comments too. Readers judge you by reading your comments.

    • By leaving comments, you are inviting the author and other viewers to visit your profile page and read your articles too.

    • You are killing 2 birds with 1 stone !!

    4. Post Links at Sharemedias

Don't be a stingy goat, go out and SHARE !

  • After you had published a new article, remember to copy and paste your article URL link to various sharemedias.

  • More followers from your sharemedias would drive more external traffic to read your articles at Wikinut.

  • In addition, your readers might retweet your links, share your links and PIN them at Pinterest if you have great pictures.

  • Most commonly browsed sharemedias are:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Google plus
  • Pinterest
  • DIGG
  • Linkedin
  • Tumblr

  • The more you share, the higher your chances of getting your articles at the Google Page rank.

Well written and useful post, thanks Peachpurple.

I have also been active for three years in Wikinut. I have no regrets and I enjoy the camaraderie with fellow contributors. The site may not pay much but looks likely to stay the course.

I follow almost all after reading at least one of their posts and commenting on them. I encourage them and give uplifting comments and gentle tips too.

Though some do get monthly payouts I hope to reach that target over time - siva

it is not easy to reach $5 monthly. I don't mind too. What matters is the people we communicate. I agree with you 100%

The payout minimum is GBP 2.50, so we can aim for that monthly - siva

thanks siva for letting me know. I thought it was $5, now with $2.50, I think I can reach the payout this month. But I heard that if writer not active, there is a penalty? Deduction?

The unfortunate thing is one has to spend a lot of time on the site, read several articles and post comments on a regualr basis to develop a good network. I think one needs to spend at least two to three hours daily to develop a good network. The quality and type of posts matter little.

thanks gv, it is tru that I took 7 hours a day just to read, comment and write one post at a site, so I don't stay put 3 sites in a day. Too time consuming, I will try to cut down 3 hours now

Thank you for sharing such a great article. I think you listed some really good tips for writers. I've been writing for many years and I must say I do find this site delightful. A lot of my friends come from a site I used to write for and I've always enjoyed their writing styles. I wish you luck with your writing career.

This is good information for all on Wikinut. For sure the people who write 1 article a day are going to earn more generally speaking than those who write 1 article a week. By making comments on other people's posts you often get people returning the favor, and using Twitter and Facebook will generally also help get views.
Ultimately excellent quality articles will make more money than poor quality ones too.
