Do you know Harrods? It’s a world-famous department store located on Brompton Road, London. Here you can buy almost everything you want.

The most famous

Harrods is probably the most famous department store in the UK. It's over 150 years old and it has 330 departments on seven floors. On special days, about 300,000 customers come and spend their time and money in Harrods.

You can buy everything

More than 5,000 people from over fifty different countries work for the store. However, the staff are not just shop assistants. Harrods has its own hairdresser's, doctor's, bank, fire brigade, and much more. A huge team of people clean and look after the store. This Includes checking and changing the 11,500 light bulbs on the outside of the building. Harrods is famous for providing 'all things, for all people, everywhere'. Whatever you want, you can buy it at Harrods - from expensive jewellery and furniture, to paper and pens. Someone even bought a baby elephant called Gertie as a present for Ronald Reagan.

Your clothes are important!

However, many people come to Harrods just to look and not to buy and this can be a problem. Sometimes the doorman doesn't let people in because they are wearing the wrong kind of clothes!

One day I will make it there. I better pay attention to what I wear though. Nice read, I really enjoyed your article. I am just stopping in for a few but, back on my vacation for another week. Congrats on the star page, it is well deserved.:)

Shopping can be done as and when required, or else it can also be a habit which needs to be kept under supervision/control.

It's a great store to browse in and see how the other half live - but way to expensive to buy anything. Even their soaps are expensive!
