Mylot is a get paid to post forum. But most don't know how to use this site efficiently to earn some extra cash. This article guides you through the process of making money with Mylot

How To Earn Money With MyLot

myLot.com is a budding online community, but most people use it as a GPT (Get paid to) post forum, with more than 200,000 members and counting. It has been there for a very long time, and one can rightfully say that it is here to stay.

It is extremely popular among the masses for it’s legitimacy when it comes to payments. One of the most debatable topics about this site are it’s payment rates, rather, it being too low. The website isn’t very open about how the members are paid i.e., the payment per post. So it becomes really difficult for one to access and decide on the number of posts that one should make in order to reach the amount that he/she wants to earn.

One of the biggest problems that a myLotter (That is what a member of myLot.com is called) faces is: there is a huge time gap between the points when a person signs up for an account, and when a person actually figures out how to make good money with the site by using it properly.

One can get paid for activities on the site, like:

1. Starting Threads (Called Discussions),
2. Doing Tasks (Which are usually mini jobs, like sign ups),
3. Sharing photos and commenting on others’ photos,
etc.

This is known to almost all the users and there’s nothing special about it. But some of the lesser known facts about making money at myLot, which one should start using as soon as possible, are:

Commenting On Discussions:

A user can start a discussion on any given topic that he/she likes, and if it is worth getting paid, it will be. Also, users get paid to provide quality responses to other people’s discussions. But sometimes, it becomes really hard to start new discussions every time or browse through different discussions and answer them.

To begin with, most people don’t know that you get paid to comment on the responses that you (Or someone else) receives. Again, if it’s good enough (Usually 2-3 lines would suffice, but should be on the topic), it will be paid. Is it also considered as a response.

Comment on every response you get to the discussions you have started (If possible). It always helps to start quality discussions, so you get more responses. And the more responses you get, the more opportunity you’ll have to comment.

TIP: It always helps to start intellectual discussions, possibly, of some interesting incident that occurred recently (Personal or non-personal). It helps because people easily connect to it and so, they respond more.

Also, if you come across a fresh discussion and after responding to it, you initiate a conversation about the topic with another member, try to keep it continued as long as you can. But as said earlier, write quality responses. It should not look like you're merely chatting with the user.

Caution: Don’t overdo this. If you do, it may seem like you are spamming/trolling the forum. The members respect the site a lot and are extremely conscious about spammers, and so, they might ‘report abuse’ against you. You may end up getting your account banned forever, or in the worst cases, get you IP banned too.

Answering related discussions (Using Tagging and Search feature)

When you answer a discussion, you have in mind what you are talking about, so you can answer related topics easily as you do not have to shift your focus to a completely different topic altogether and waste time thinking about what you would want to say.

If you see the right side of the myLot page (Under the advertisement), you will see related discussions to the one that is being currently discussed, thanks to the tagging feature provided while making a response. If you tag your response well, you will instantly see a good list of similar discussions. It does not matter how old the discussion is, you still get paid for answering it.

Another option for finding and answering related discussion is by using the in-built search bar. Sometimes, you get paid a ‘reward’ now and then, for using it. It has two advantages:

You may get rewarded for using the search bar.
It becomes easier for you to make many responses in a short amount of time. Just open the different search results in different tabs of your browser and answer as many as you can.

Make more responses after reaching the payment limit

The payment structure is a little complicated. You will be paid for the amount of activity you have for this month, on the 15th of the next month. The minimum threshold limit is $10.

After you reach your payment limit, try to be more active and make more responses. So, even if you hadn’t reached the payment limit the last month, this month, you'll end up getting paid more i.e., your earnings will be carried over.

Tasks

As said earlier, most tasks are usually simple sign up processes. If possible, have a different Yahoo! mail or a Gmail account for sign ups alone. So if you are a little short of reaching the payment limit, you can fill the void by doing tasks.

TIP: Always take notice of the amount you are getting paid for doing the tasks. For some, you may be paid up to $1, while for others, you will not be paid anything at all.

I don’t think you need be told which task you should choose to do.

Referral Bonus

If you can, try getting your friends to join up the site using your referral link, under your earnings > referrals section. If they are active enough, you'll get paid a part of their earnings (It doesn't take anything away from them).

The more referrals you have, the more money you earn as your referral bonus.

Loyalty Bonus

It is said, and often discussed that you get rewarded for being a loyal member of the community, while nothing is known for sure. If possible, be more active, be active regularly and be a valuable asset to the site by keeping your rank high. This happens when you provide quality answers every time and get your response chosen as the "Best response" by a user.

The more best responses you get, the higher your rank is. Also, time is an important factor for determining your loyalty to the site. So, the sooner you join, the better.

I think that is all the advice that can be given to a starter. Stay as far away from trouble as possible and read all the Guidelines and FAQs carefully. Don’t try to advertise your blogs, referral links etc. in discussions and also, don’t get into a mess with any member there.

After all, it is a one big family. The amount of knowledge that one gains there is worth a lot more than money alone.

Yeah, sure. Mylot is a genuine discussion oriented site. It pays with dignity. There is no need to request for the pay out. On reaching the minimum required amount of a withdrawal, the site pays automatically to the paypal account. That is nice.
