Making Money Is It Words?

Websites about quick cash are everywhere. If you aren't thinking you can lose out on a lot of things. Be prepared. Know the "words" to make money... and save money.

Make Money With AdWords?

I was busy browsing the Internet when I happened upon a very interesting website, and this one simply talks (or writes about to be more correct...) about the fact that you simply need to join this Google AdWords Affiliate program and you will be "rolling in the dough."

I will not comment about the "rolling in the dough," but I will comment about the choice of words that they use about making money.

Note: I checked Google AdWords and YOU pay for your use of this program, so as far as I can tell you make money indirectly if you use the AdSense program or have a lot of other means to recoup your money.

1) They are big on "free money now" terms, it was littered with this. I think I counted the words: free, money, fast cash, big money, and easy money.... a grand total of 170 times in the first page before I stopped counting.

2) The website was bright and flashy and frankly, something I will never come back and read again. There was a sincere lack of caring for the reader, rather it was all about money.

3) it was all words. I'll explain that in a minute.

Words: I admit I was bored...

I looked into the AdWords a bit more. Seems interesting, but I saw a few things about making money that maybe I shouldn't have.

1) Keywords are ways of paying both you and Google. So, I typed in a few keywords, and if I was a betting man (which I am not) I would bet that most people would aim for the highest paying keywords they can find, in hopes of making the big money.

2) Look closer at the cost, if you spent a half a minute thinking, you would understand that if you created an ad for this keyword, and then someone would click on that ad, you would be paying Google for that much money.

3) Following this line of thinking: You had better make that much back pretty quick or you'd go broke.

So, this website was all "words." the sad thing was they are preying on the making money fast crowd which is pretty much everyone. I would need to be thinking all the time, and most people are pulled into this money world because of sites like these.

Yes you can Lose it All.

See, if you follow you "guts" or your "intuition" too much there is a chance that you can lose it all. it is easy to spend a lot of money, and not get anything back.

Let me tell you a bit of a money story, and it has to do with a dear friend of mine.

He went on to Google AdWords, and had a pretty good blog, about 5 years back. He thought it would be a quick and easy way to get traffic to his blog by signing up for Google AdWords.

The problem was that he did not believe in "marketing stuff" by which he meant having adverts on his blog. His blog was about poetry and photos. It was good, and the quality of the writing and the pictures were great.

So, back to the whole making money thing. He didn't in fact because he had spent money on his Google AdWords and he did not have anything for people to "return" the favor (say an ad on his blog or an e-book or whatever) he began to slowly lose money.

He big thing was that he was getting traffic... but no one was asking him to write poetry or take photos for them. In fact they often didn't stay for long on his blog.

In the end, before he stopped he had lost $20,000 before he canceled his AdWords account. The sad part is that he heard it from another website like the one above. Scary is it not?

Know... and think, but you can make money

Know what words are more correct in terms of money. They are fancy but they are more of a true commentary.

1) It took me months to make my payout: This is more true. Most people take months to make enough money. I don't know of any person who didn't take months to make a payout the first time.

2) I write because I love it. Money is secondary: This is an honest person, and they are someone who you will need to read.

3) It's work: This is the best in my mind. It is not easy to make money online, but if you spend time and build websites with money saved, you are in a better place than someone else.

Ditto Rebecca E's comments.

Any business venture can be risky. Contrary to what many online marketers would have you believe is that it takes months, even years to build up a profitable business. For the most part, all thse claiming to have made thousands of dollars the first month they used some system is simply trying to hook you is spending your hard earned money on their internet program. If you really want to start a home based internet business, go for it, but do not give up your day job until your internet venture has proven itself successful and you are earning as much from it as you are from your present day job.

Congratulations on your star. I am trying to learn how to link to other sites, but don't seem to be able to transfer photos. So many scams on writing sites. It's shameful.

well, some insist on quality while some it goes for quantity. A combination could be fine I think as long as the content is not rubbish..

Amid all the slumping sites, are there any sites paying a fair dollar online? Please share with us other struggling writers.
