The engine that persists makes it where it wants to go.

Think of life this way: We have to put fuel into any engine, and keep the engine running well, for it to work. That goes for survival, mechanical, spiritual or economic engines. That means any engine. Making consistent money is not an exception either. I put the engine of survival first on my list of engines for a good reason. Because without that engine, none of the other engines would exist.

Look for the great even in the worst situation.

The key to survival and thriving could be in looking at the exact opposite of the worst situation you could get into. Like 3M with its "post-it notes" or Apple with its powerful variations on the i-phones and i-pods, Even you could take a "destruct" situation and make it into it "construct" opposite through finding innovative ideas within a disaster that will make you back up instead of break you down to the gutter. If I were to speak to President Obama about health care right now, I would say, "don't scrap your plans, take the approach of looking at what is great about your situation, and doing more of that instead of forgetting the whole thing, chickening out and quitting. Making a situation is simply doing the opposite of what breaks a situation. Oh, I did not say that would be easy. I did not say that would always be simple. But I am saying that it is better than quitting always. Especially when you have failed in life seemingly permanently. In reality, there is not any such thing as permanent failure as long as there are ideas to be implemented that are new or different.

So, when I say look for the great even in the worst situation that can happen, I mean it will take a lot of thinking, meditation and pondering to find the best in it, but persist productively and you will find the best. That brings me to a point, just because something takes a turn for the worse externally does not mean your mind has to take a turn for the worse internally. Like I said in the first part of this article about electromagnetically charged steel. Only now, I will apply the logic to money. Well-invested and well used money can buy the best needed and wanted. At its worst, money buys you lots of drinks, and mountains of illegal drugs. The other point I would like to make is to avoid the worst is to understand it, to know the best is to embrace it genuinely, and appreciate it without taking it for granted.

The only real winning is survival and better

To put the first section of this article another way: The only thing better than survival is earned permanent success. But without at least earning your survival and knowing what you are doing, you cannot earn anything worthwhile or even appreciate it. In short, you would be like the Russian peasants in the early twentieth century with all the Czar's wealth and not knowing what to do with it at all. Real survival and wealth start with the positively charged mentality that can lift itself up from the slavery of negativity. Is my electromagnetically charged steel analogy making sense now? I hope so. Because, when you survive and better, everything in life is genuinely in the positive category and not the negative.

So, I will put it yet another way, winning starts at survival and goes on at better. In fact, better than survival is the concept of wealth when you really think about it. Worse than survival is the negatively charged concept of poverty where survival is the zero point or start of all wealth. Remember that concept.

In this part of the article, I only wanted to give an understanding of which genuine way is up and winning. That's all. Nobody, even the worst of us, really wants down and out or not to succeed. Success takes P.E.T., which stands for Planning, Effort and Training and then doing comes after a full and complete understanding of all this. The complete understanding is you go back to planning, effort and training if the final doing step fails. You do not quit. You just change approaches until you find a formula of this that works for survival and thriving into better. Remember, every genuine quit and "give up" is a loss. Winning starts when you know how to survive and genuinely go up from there.

The only real loss is to quit genuinely instead of change your approaches.

Productive persistence is creative inventiveness. It is not insanely doing the same thing over and over expecting something different, and then quitting when it does not work. Indeed, the most genuine and real winning way to live is with the kind of productive persistence I am writing about. You will gain that genuine wealth, you will get above survival, you will do it right. As long as you put in the right efforts in the right ways.

Indeed, when you take short cuts or cheat, you are only cheating yourself and unproductively skipping over what it takes for genuine experience and genuine power gained.

When the saying only the strong survive applies, that means being able to do what needs and wants to be done in that order. When I say the word "need", I mean to create a winner through doing what is necessary to create what you genuinely want. You, like anyone wants success in their endeavors and success does mean doing what you need to create what you want.

Preparation is the key to success, right down to disciplining yourself through visualization and autosuggestion backed by the genuine efforts to get what you need and want. Sure, that sounds rather mystical, but it is better to be spiritually, mentally and physically than spiritually, mentally and physically unprepared. I list it all like that because this sort of strength to achieve does not come out of nowhere, it is built by basic methods and building blocks from the ground up when it is genuine, yet seemingly "instantly and powerfully out of the blue" or "out of nowhere easily". In short, you see the end result, but you do not exactly see what goes into the end result of success until that end.

Usually, success comes through a crisis where the strength and experience of understanding needs to be used to an advantage to create further success. Right there is the rub and the power behind the throne of success. Real success shows itself in a crisis or turning point for the most part. Real failure is failing to recognize the advantages of those "crisis points" and how to navigate them.

What does all this have to do with gaining money, power, and all that counts? Everything really when you really understand that the only real loss is quitting instead of adjusting or starting over if needed with more experience and doing it better than originally planned ultimately. The way out of failure is honest success through productively attained and used experience and smart work. Without that realization, all the hard work in the world will not "cut it" or do the job in any way. It is like the difference between Henry Ford and the "better mechanic in the garage next to him" that did not become a millionaire or billionaire with Henry Ford. That is the most glaring example I can think of on my feet of hard work versus smart work to make money.
