Everyone is always looking to save more money in and around the home. Here are 9 tips and ways you can implement to save money without making major changes to your everyday life.

1. Plan Ahead. Plan for everything you can, from shopping to what you will be having for tea, planning ahead saves both time and money. Don't buy anything you don't need to and definitely don't go shopping when your hungry or you will always certainly buy more than you need.

2. Car share. Do you commute to work regularly, if so, why not save a few pounds by sharing your journey/car with somebody who is going your way to work or visa versa.

3. Use Comparison websites. Use comparison websites to buy or renew financial products from saving energy suppliers to insurance providers. Get the best deal possible online and save yourself a few pounds in the process.

4. Rent out DVDs and CDS from your local library instead of buying them or paying hefty monthly subscriptions to rent the latest releases. You will probably find your local library has a wide variety to offer.

5.Use Coupons whenever and wherever you can, you can get anywhere from 10p to 10% off with some coupons you might get from your local shops or supermarkets.

6. Use low energy light bulbs in your home. Replacing your light bulbs with low energy equivalents will save you both energy and money.

7. Get a cheaper mobile phone tariff. If you are on pay as you go, see what you are getting for your money, compare what other phone provides could offer you for the same amount of money, and if they are better consider changing your network provider. If you are on a pay monthly/contract phone why not ring up your network provider and see what they can offer you, tell them how much you want to spend a month and what you want to get for this spend.

8. Do your shopping online - wherever and whenever possible buy online, from groceries to holidays try to order if online, you will sometimes find cheaper deals online than n the high street and it saves you petrol and parking costs.

9.Take a pre prepared/packed lunch with you to work. You could probable save yourself a few pound each day by pre preparing your work lunches yourself instead of buying pre packed items on the day.
